INTRODUCING docSTAR INTEGRATION WITH SHARP MFP'S!
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (September 18, 2007)-– docSTAR, a recognized leader of comprehensive and integrated document management solutions, has released its newest Integration solution… docSTAR’s MFP-Link. docSTAR has developed an integration solution that allows users to scan and intelligently file documents directly from Sharp® OSA-enabled MFPs, which are preferred by many users. docSTAR’s MFP-Link is powered by the award-winning Autostore® framework and takes advantage of docSTAR 3.7’s Indexed Import feature, making filing at the copier convenient and consistent.

The one step process provided by docSTAR’s MFP-Link assures high productivity levels with documents not collecting in users’ Inboxes waiting to be filed. This is also particularly significant in shipping departments, warehouses, and a variety of other industries in which users may not have a PC or the experience in using a PC application.
Convenience and Consistency
Data entry at the copier needs to be not only convenient but also consistent with the filing policies established by an organization. docSTAR’s MFP-Link provides that convenience for data entry operators by prompting the user to select a form that corresponds to a docSTAR template. Users are then prompted to fill in only the fields displayed on that form. By limiting input into specific values, documents become filed in such a way that they may always be found by any user. This process allows for maximum consistency.
In a true image management system like docSTAR, this guided filing process is a primary benefit versus the limited scan-to-folder or scan-to-network features available with most copiers.
Easy-to-Use Customizable Forms
Ready-to-run filing forms are provided by docSTAR for most common business documents; such as: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Correspondence, Human Resources, Marketing, and Resumes. In minutes, it’s ready for use without any type of configuration.
