docSTAR’s new AfW® Integration Module will make smoothly-integrated filing and retrieval more flexible than ever before.
SCHENECTADY, NY- August 2006 – docSTAR, a division of AuthentiDate Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: ADAT), today released integration modules for the popular AfW agency management system. AfW is produced by a leading insurance software developer, AMS Services, Inc. The integration modules bring docSTAR’s document management capabilities to insurance agents and brokers who use AfW.
The new docSTAR AfW Integration Module includes:
Flexible Workflows - Front-End and Back-End Scanning
The integration allows agencies to implement document management in whichever way best fits their needs. However documents are filed, one click retrieves all documents related to the current screen.
• Front End Scanning: One option is to scan documents upon receipt and route them to individual users electronically, eliminating the flow of paper. This allows CSRs to perform all required processing from the document image. The integration lets CSRs file each document under the related client, policy, or activity found in AfW automatically. docSTAR’s unique “Stay On Top” mode facilitates data entry from an image without dual monitors. (Dual monitors are supported for optimal operation when working with images.)
• Back End Scanning: Another option is to process incoming documents from paper, as is done today, and then scan them. In this case, a barcoded cover page can be printed through AfW and placed on top of each document; when the document is scanned, the barcodes are read to automatically file it under the correct client, policy, or activity. Or, virtual cover sheets can be used if the agency does not want to use paper. Virtual cover pages can do the job without printing.
